One of our favorite Howlin’ Wolf tunes that comes to us mostly from “Howlin’ Wolf London Sessions” featuring Eric Clatpon, Bill Wyman, Charlie Watts, and Steve Winwood. Our latest favorite version comes from Beth Hart and Joe Bonamassa on “Black Coffee”.

Originally written and recorded by the Mississippi Sheiks in 1930, “Sitting On Top Of The World” has been recorded by many blues players through the years and has become a standard. In 2018, it was selected for preservation in the National Recording Registry by the Library of Congress as being “culturally, historically, or artistically significant.”

Recorded April 28, 2018 at Dirigo Brewing Company in Biddeford, ME using an iPhone 7. Minimal processing and editing postproduction.
