Okay, there’s probably zero chance of that. But we’re still really excited, and you should be too!
Friday January 18th, we’ll be taking the hallowed stage at Portland House Of Music by storm with some friends of ours and making sure you have all the bluesy-funky goodness that you can possibly stand. What’s that? You say you can stand a whole lot? Well, let’s just see if you can hang with this lineup…
Clara Junken leads the night off – a singer-songwriter to be reckoned with. Her tunes are out of sight and so are her pipes, so you want to make sure you rush the door and find yourself a comfy piece of floor to stand in when the clock strikes 8pm.
Up next we have the frenetic part-bluesman, part-preacher that is Papa Tim And The Desperate Man’s Blues Explosion. Led by their fearless frontman, this band is a good time waiting to happen. Whatever piece of floor you had, you’ll be dancing in it.
Then we take the anchor leg for the night and bring y’all home with a dump truck full of original tunes, classic blues, and some surprises as well. Did we mention that our friend and pound-for-pound baddest sax player in town Matt Kennedy will be joining us for a big chunk of our set? We didn’t? Well, we done did now. And that wasn’t even all the surprises.
Doors open at 7:00pm and music starts at 8:00pm. Tickets are available online now for only $8 or at the door that night for $10. Tell a bunch of friends and treat yo’ self to some fun.
