Well, it’s been a few hot minutes since we’ve gotten on the ball to put finger to keyboard, but we haven’t been slacking too much. In fact, we’ve been listening to a whole bunch of stuff, so here’s a little peek at what’s been pouring into our earholes as of late…

1) G. Love & Special Sauce – “Cold Beverage”

Now that we’ve got some weather that isn’t dipping below freezing any damn time the sun goes in, time to get us some cold beverages…

2) Albert Collins, Jimmie Vaughan, & Stevie Ray Vaughan @ 1989 Presidential Inauguration Concert

When you get elected to sit in the Big Chair, you get to call in the Big Guns for your welcome bash…

3) BB King – “When It All Comes Down”

This is one we just added to our sets if only to remind people that blues isn’t always about feeling bad. Sometimes, you’ve just got keep that head up and keep moving. See what comes back.

4) Tumbledown Saints & Friends – “Honky Tonk Women”

It’s been a few weeks, but we’re still flyin’ pretty high after Mad Dogs & Mainers – check out this video and you’ll see why. To quote Donald “Duck” Dunn, we had a band powerful enough to turn goat piss into gasoline!

5) Muddy Waters & The Band – “Mannish Boy”

Don’t believe we’ve ever posted a Muddy Waters tune in one of these things, which is damn near a sin. Let’s remedy that, shall we?
