Well, this month got away from us, didn’t it? Sheesh… you’d think we all had jobs, families, and various ailments, bad habits, vices, and charity cases to deal with or something. Anyways, now that we’re getting back in gear, maybe we can make it up to you? Not included below is a handful of videos that we’ve posted to our YouTube channel over the last few weeks that you may be interested in. What are they? Oh, how about us playing “Travis County” by Gary Clark Jr., or “Killing Floor” by Howlin’ Wolf, perhaps some “Telephone Song” by Stevie Ray & Jimmie Vaughan, or Albert King’s “Oh Pretty Woman”? Yeah, thought you might like that…

1) TajMo at the Philadelphia Folk Festival

As a peace offering, how about a solid 86 minutes of music from Taj Mahal and Keb’ Mo’? If you haven’t checked out the album they put out last year, you’re missing out.

2) Samantha Fish live at Paste Studio NYC

Still not enough? Then how about dang near half an hour of the lovely, talented, and always innovating Samantha Fish playing some new tunes acoustic style? Surely that’s gotta be enough to make up for our absence in posting.

3) Derek Trucks Band with Susan Tedeschi – “Joyful Noise”

This one is a favorite of John’s since way back when… which is about when this video was shot from the looks of it. It’s very rare that you see video with a resolution in double digits, but the sound is pretty damn good.

4) Lightnin Hopkins – “Mighty Crazy”

Moving some music around digitally this week and came across The Very Best Of Lightnin Hopkins on an old hard drive. Needless to say, the day improved immediately afterwards.

5) Tumbledown Saints with Matt Kennedy – “Everybody Knows About My Good Thing”

Fine, we done did it again, but it’s worth it because we had a guest play with us at our show earlier this month at Blue and y’all should get a chance to listen to it.
