Tumbledown Saints, A History

Back in the salad days of 2016, Tumbledown Saints came together as 5-piece band, living on a steady diet of blues. The core of the band originated with Todd Regoulinsky (vocals and harmonica), John Berce (bass guitar), and Dave Mclean (guitar) – all former members of the Portland-based funk powerhouse, Mama’s Boomshack. Guitarist Jeff Foss and drummer Zack Pomerleau rounded out the line-up, and a five song demo was recorded consisting of three covers and two original songs.

Shortly after our first few gigs, Marc Perez came on board to handle drumming duties and the band continued to play throughout 2017 and 2018, culminating with a pair of extremely well received sets at the Maine Blues Festival in both those years. At the end of 2018, the band went on hiatus.

In 2021, Tumbledown Saints emerged from hibernation as a power trio with Dave handling all guitar duties, Todd moving into bass and lead vocals, and the addition of drummer Jason McPhee. Since then, it’s been a journey of discovery, finding new songs and just how much is possible for three people and a bit of imagination.
